Vonage Revisited

Posted by danny in Hardware, Software

I’ve been using Vonage for about a month now, and I am finally, very happy with the service.

The initial problems that I had with setup have completely disappeared, and the service has been flawless since then.

Call clarity has been wonderful, tough to tell from a standard land line, and I have come to the conclusion that most of the static that I head in the background is due to this craptacular quality of Angela’s land line. It’s crystal clear if I call anyone else. Just some old copper in PA I guess.

PAP2So, I finally am able to experience this VoIP thing, as it is meant to be.

Let’s start out with the bad, and get that out of the way, shall we?

K1 KRZR Follow Up

Posted by danny in Hardware, Linux, Software

I have about four hours of 10 hours of talk time on the phone, and probably 3 hours of music time on the headset.

Let’s talk about the phone, first.

Nokia 6682

Posted by danny in Hardware, Software

I am irritated with this phone right now.

When I got the K1 KRZR yesterday, one of my first tasks was to copy the Contact list off the Nokia, onto the K1. I didn’t want to simply copy my contacts onto the SIM, for a few reasons.
