So, what goes on around here?

Many, man moons ago, there where Three Geeks, who were slowly, but surely determined to do something neat, with an idea that one of them had.

The original idea, was a simple one. I would set up a small server in my closet, that I would run off my my cable line. The rest of the boys would have access to the server vis ssh, rsync, whatever they needed, in order to try and archive out collective knowledge in a single place.

Due to, well, the lazy factor, it never really took off. I was too lazy to set the box up properly, with the tools they needed, and the project never really got off the ground.

Now, a few years after the fact, I’ve gone the easy way, with a paid hosting service, and a point and click GUI that is supplied to me courtesy of C-Panel. The intent is the same, but the implementation is far, far different.
